The Maui Interscholastic League Division II champion Farmers Baseball team took on the state tournament last week. The Farmers were ultimately defeated by Damien, 7-2, and Konawaena, 9-2. The Farmers finished the year with a 13-4 record and their ninth consecutive MIL DII title.

“Mahalo Molokai for all the love and support! Mahalo Mr. Schonely, Lee and faculty, parents for all the help this season, my ohana for getting my back and most importantly the boys that had to deal with me throughout the season, until next season,” said MHS Baseball Coach Keahi Rawlins in a Facebook post.

The MHS Track and Field team competed in the MIL DII Championships on May 5 and 6. Jericho Adolpho for the Farmers threw a personal best in the discus, securing second place and a berth to the state tournament.

“They raced with their hearts and threw with all their might. Watching them improve each day and then compete in MILs and make their own PR records was impressive. Our 4×100 was four seconds short from states but still making PR records,” said MHS Coach Kabbie Isaiah Bicoy-Juario on Facebook.

The Boys Volleyball team is seeded number two in this week’s state championships after a 9-0 regular season.

After a strong season, the Lady Farmers Softball team lost to Kapa’a in an April 26 state tournament game. The Molokai girls were MIL runners-up, closing with a 6-5 record.

The Molokai High Tennis team also ended their season at the end of April, after playing in the MIL championships.
