Volleyball Gets Split at Seabury
The Boys Volleyball team traveled to Seabury Hall last weekend and earned a split of their two games against the Spartans. On Friday, the Farmers (3-1) lost in four sets 25-18, 25-21, 17-25 and 28-26. Saturday was different story, as Molokai beat Seabury (1-3) in five sets 17-25, 25-19, 27-25, 19-25 and 15-10.
Both matches were very competitive and Head Coach Hale Domingo hopes his team learns from the experience.
“We knew we could compete with them if we played clean volleyball but Friday night was a shocker and we learned a lot from that loss,” he said. “Saturday was a different story and we made some big adjustments and that seemed to be the difference. The loss was good and we learned a lot about ourselves and how hard we need to work.”
Domingo wants his team to limit their errors.
“In volleyball the team with the least amount of errors is the team that wins, we had a lot of unforced errors on Friday that we couldn’t recover from,” he said. “The weekend didn’t go exactly how we wanted it to go but I’ll take a split.”
Molokai will host Lanai (0-2) at The Barn this weekend.
