Virtual Veteran Benefits Counselors

MVCV News Release

Aloha veterans and families, according to the US Dept. of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Benefits Counselors have not traveled to Molokai and are now doing virtual interviews. This is due to the COVID -19 cases in the state. To make an appointment, please do the following:
1. Email the Honolulu Public Contact (PC) mailbox at: pctc.vbahon@va.gov
2. Call the Honolulu PC office and leave message at (808) 433-0505
3. Include the following info:
a. Your email and phone number
b, First and Last name
c. Reason for contact
For security reasons, do not include social security number in email/phone call.

A Benefit Counselor will contact you within two hours of leaving a message. If your message is received after 2:30 p.m., on a holiday or on the weekend, you will be notified the next business day. In all cases, a confirmation telephone call or email will be sent to the customer. Appointment days and times are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3:30 pm.

Benefits Counselors will be available to address non-healthcare related inquiries related to compensation, pension, survivor benefits, claims, appeals, status requests, etc. and assistance with the claims process.

If any veterans or family members have any questions, please call Allen Diorec at the Molokai Veterans Caring for Veterans (MVCV) Center at 553-8387 from 9 a.m. to12 noon, Monday through Friday.

Our Veterans Center will be getting new veterans shirts for purchase soon. Call our center for any information. Our center is finally hooked up with solar and AC and nearing the completion of our audit. All veterans will decide the future and where our organization, MVCV, will go.
