Veterans Day
Mahalo to our veterans for all their services and sacrifices. To the men and women who were recruited or drafted to sign on that dotted line and trained to defend our country, our home, from enemies, foreign and domestic, while being away from their families, we honor and thank you with this poem:
Veterans Day
By Cheryl Dyson
On Veterans Day we honor all,
Who answered to a service call,
Soldiers young, and soldiers old,
Fought for freedom, brave and bold,
Some have lived, while others died,
And all of them deserve our pride,
We’re proud of all the soldiers who,
Kept thinking of red, white and blue,
They fought for us and all our rights,
They fought through many days and nights,
And though we may not know each name,
We thank ALL veterans just the same.
Though we are not able to celebrate together this year at the Kaunakakai Memorial Park on Nov. 11, Veterans Day, let us all reflect and be thankful for all our blessings, our families and our friends. Thank you all for serving our country and may God bless each and everyone of you and your family on this special day, Veterans Day.
Due to COVID-19, we cannot have our general membership meeting until further notice.
