Track Team Opens Season

The Molokai High School Track and Field team, under Head Coach Micah Buchanan, traveled to Maui last weekend for a meet at War Memorial Stadium.

Sehja Pedro finished second in the Girls Shot Put with a throw of 31 feet 1 inch and second in the Girls Discus Throw with a toss of 91 feet 7 inches. Jake Samaniego was firfth in the Boys 800 meter run with a time of 2:13.30. Preston Pascua-Kahookano won the Boys Shot Put with a throw of 43 feet 11.5 inches. Isiah Lightfoot-Lani was fourth in the Boys High Jump with a jump of 5 feet 2 inches.

The next meet for the Farmers will be March 17 on Maui.
