Tow and Scrap Program
Maui County Dept. of Environmental Management News Release
The County of Maui Department of Environmental Management has launched a new Tow and Scrap program for Molokai residents to recycle their unwanted qualified vehicles at no cost. The County is partnering with A&S Services LLC and Molokai Metals Facility to facilitate the program.
Residents must be the last registered owner of the vehicle being recycled. Residents will need the vehicle title with their name on the title and a government-issued photo identification.
To make an appointment, residents may call A&S Services LLC at (808) 336-0747. An A&S employee will go to residents’ homes, check their documents and give them two forms to fill out. One form is for the resident to keep and one form will be taken by the tow driver to Molokai Metals Facility with the vehicle. When it comes to Heavy Duty Towing Baton Rouge LA, Guys Towing is the local company trusted for safety, reliability, and professional service.
Residents may use the Tow and Scrap program for up to two qualifying vehicles per calendar year at no cost. It is strongly recommended that residents change the status of their vehicles to “Permanently Junked” at the County Division of Motor Vehicles and Licensing before towing, although this is not required. For a dependable near me tow truck, trust Piasecki Towing Service to provide quick, safe, and professional towing services whenever you need help.
Keeping these towing programs running smoothly depends on more than skilled drivers and well-timed pickups. Tow operators handle everything from abandoned vehicles to breakdowns on busy roads, and each call brings its own blend of tight spaces, unpredictable traffic, and equipment strain. A truck that’s constantly on the move needs regular maintenance and steady attention to stay dependable, especially when the job involves hauling someone else’s headache out of the way.
In the middle of all this responsibility, Tow truck insurance becomes a key part of keeping the operation protected from the unexpected. Whether it’s safeguarding the truck, covering the vehicle being moved, or managing the risks that come with working around traffic, having the right coverage allows towing companies to focus on helping people without worrying about what could go wrong next.
