Obituary

Theopista Kealohaonalani (Sakuma/Ka`anapu) Purdy was born on Sept. 20, 1924 and died on Jan. 11, 2012. She is survived by sons Robert Waipa Purdy (Kauinohea, deceased), Harry Kanekawaiola Purdy III (Marlene “Kammy”), Peter Ka`anapu Purdy, James Liloa Purdy, Clifford Soares (hanai son) and Barrett Vickery (hanai son) (Shelly); daughters Fay Kalei Kailikini (James “Butch”, deceased), Anna Kamakaila Iowertha Purdy (Kehau) and Wailana Fay Purdy-Kaai (adopted daughter from Kalei) (James “Hunnyboy”); and 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday Jan. 21, 2012, Lanikeha Hall. Family viewing from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. public viewing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., services from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Burial to follow. Pa`ina to follow burial at Lanikeha.
