Molokai History Project News Release 

These are busy days at the Molokai History Project as we have more and more visitors, repeat guests, helpful comments, wonderful donations, and folks volunteering to be docents. Our walls are full, our display cabinets constantly rearranged to make room for new items. We want to thank everyone for taking an interest in this project and supporting us. Due to several suggestions, and the fact we have docents who know the history of Molokai and are anxious to share their knowledge, we will have an informal “talk story” event every Monday morning from 8:15 to 9 a.m., Thursday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and Friday afternoon from 12 to 2 p.m. Come join our docent, and talk story for an hour or so. We are hoping this will lead to some evening events. We are gearing up to apply for grants. We asked the county for financial support, and we continue to have our fund-raising garage sale each month as well as a little gift shop featuring a special Bennett ceramic planter made just for the History Project. Our doors are open and we can’t wait to welcome you. Please join us as we begin to make plans for the holidays.
