The Barn had a double header last week for Farmers Basketball, with the boy’s team competing against Maui Preparatory Academy and the girl’s team taking on Seabury Hall. On Maui, Farmer paddling, swimming and wrestling teams competed.
Molokai High’s basketball teams showed great sportsmanship during their games this week. The games were back to back starting with the boy’s first game Friday evening which closed with a score of Molokai 62, Maui Prep 39. Following the boy’s victory, the girls won Seabury with a score of Molokai 40, Seabury 11. The next morning, each of the four teams faced on in rematches. Molokai boys played hard in a neck-to-neck game but lost to Maui Prep in a close 42-39 game. The girls finished with another win against Seabury. The score was Molokai 44 and Seabury Hall 17.
On Maui, boys and girls paddling raced against Maui Interscholastic League schools. The girls took fourth place, the boys took third, and mixed team A took third, while team B won second. The team will be heading on to their next races next weekend on Maui.
Swimming and Westling both competed, but final scores were not available as of press deadline.
Look out next week as Molokai Soccer will be hosting Seabury Hall in Ho’olehua and the boys’ Basketball team will be hosting Lanai. The girl’s Basketball team will be traveling to Maui for the MIL tournament and Westling will be competing at Baldwin.
