Resource Management for High Schoolers

UHMCM News Release

Attention high school juniors or seniors and their parents. Do you want a head start on your college career? We have a great opportunity for you!

The start date for our 2017-18 Cultural and Natural Resource Management program for our high school students has been postponed until the Fall Semester. If you missed the application deadline or weren’t aware of this program, here is another opportunity to sign-up. We have 11 spots still available.

This program focuses on bridging traditional cultural knowledge with Western science, illustrating that they can co-exist. The course schedule will be: HWST 231 (Fall ’17), HWST 207 (Spring ’18), and ANTH 165 (Summer ’18 — this course may change). Students will take each class, receiving nine college credits at the end of the program. Tuition and course material will be covered by the program. Students just need to be committed in completing the three courses.

If you’re interested, or know someone who may be interested, please go to khoklmolokai.wix.com/khokl to apply or email johnlv@hawaii.edu for more information. Application deadline is Aug. 1.
