The community came together earlier this month in a show of love and hope in front of the Public Library. Carrying signs with positive messages like “You are beautiful” and “Forgive yourself,” attendees showed “real aloha” as they sought to combat negativity.
“Recent tragedies that have plagued our island and the ongoing challenges of drugs, abuse and other devastating situations demand that we rise up in love as one `ohana,” said Zhantell Dudoit, one of the organizers of the multi-agency effort.
The rally included entertainment, guest speakers and community resource information to those facing a variety of hardships.
