Operation Christmas Child on Molokai

Operation Child Christmas News Release

This year, Molokai was blessed to become part of the network of relay and collection centers for Operation Christmas Child.  As part of the larger, Samartian’s Purse Organization, Operation Christmas Child delivers shoebox gifts packed by caring people like you to hurting children around the world. Shoeboxes can be filled with small toys, hygiene items and school supplies then dropped off to our collection center where they will be sent on to a child in need.

For only $7, you will receive a colorful shoebox and postage paid labels so you can send your package to a child that needs your help. You or your organization can also donate bulk items such as pencils or toothbrushes.

Molokai received 500 shoeboxes to fill and we can do it because we are a small island with a big heart. So get your family, your church or your organization involved and give to those in need.

Want a shoebox to get started? Contact Julia De George, Molokai Area Coordinator, at 658-6513 or 567-9204.

Molokai Baptist Church in Ho`olehua is the local collection center. Filled shoeboxes or donations can be dropped off between Monday, Nov. 18 and Sunday, Nov. 24.

Collection hours are Monday, Nov. 18, 3-6 p.m.; Tuesday, Nov. 19 through Friday, Nov. 22, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 23, 9 a.m. to 12 noon; Sunday, Nov. 24, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
