Molokai residents gathered in front of the Molokai Library holding signs and waving United States flags to passersby, joining the No Kings protests that swept the nation recently.

While the gathering on Molokai was rather small, several media outlets reported more than 2,000 protests spread throughout the country, with an estimated four-to-six million people attending the No Kings rallies June 14. This would potentially make it the largest single-day protest in the U.S. to date.

The protests were held on the same day President Donald Trump turned 79 years old, and the U.S. Army was celebrating its 250th anniversary.
