New Veterinarian
Molokai Humane Society News Release
The Molokai Humane Society is happy to announce that we have a new veterinarian. Over the last month and a half, some of you may have been fortunate enough to have met Dr. Susan Baillie as she has gotten a feel for our little clinic and the island of Molokai. We are excited to add such a great asset to our team!
Dr. Baillie is originally from a small farming community in South Africa, and later moved to California with her family. She was a preschool teacher for eight years, until she discovered her passion for animals, and graduated from University of California-Davis with a degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She spent several years in both Southern California and Washington State, before moving to Maui in 2011 to work at the West Maui Animal Clinic in Lahaina.
Her years in Hawaii have been spent also operating a mobile veterinary clinic and working with the Maui SPCA providing low-cost, high volume spay and neuter clinics for Maui’s cats. She brings her invaluable expertise and experience to Molokai, and we look forward to her time with us.
Dr. Baillie will be available for wellness appointments beginning May 4, giving her some time to move and adapt to the Molokai. Our friendly staff is happy to schedule appointments, and of course take care of any spay and neuter needs that you may have!
Veterinary services play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our beloved pets, providing essential care that ranges from routine wellness check-ups to emergency medical treatment. As pet owners, having access to reliable and compassionate veterinary care is crucial for maintaining our furry friends’ health.
Among the many options available, Mobile Vets have emerged as a convenient and efficient solution for pet owners, especially in areas where traditional veterinary clinics may be less accessible. Mobile veterinary services bring the clinic right to your doorstep, allowing for a stress-free experience for both pets and their owners. These vets are equipped to perform a variety of services, from vaccinations and health assessments to minor surgical procedures, all within the comfort of your home.
This innovative approach not only makes veterinary care more convenient but also ensures that pets who may be anxious or unwell have a more comfortable and familiar environment during their appointments.
For more information on Dr. Baillie, her bio is available on our website, molokaihumanesoiety.org, or give us a call at 558-0000.
