Molokai School Foundation Gets Grant

FMHMSF News Release

Friends of Molokai High and Middle Schools Foundation (FMHMSF) has been awarded a $7000 grant by the Office of Hawaiian Affairs for the 2017 fiscal year. The support will allow the organization to continue to hold its annual Future Fest College and Career Fair at Molokai High School.

The mission of this event is to maximize the opportunities for students in grades seven to 12 to speak with a variety of college or career representatives from six of the different career pathways: Arts and Communication, Business, Health Services, Natural Resources, Industrial and Engineering Technology, Public and Human Services.

The Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA) is a unique, independent state agency established through the Hawaii State Constitution and statutes to advocate for the betterment of conditions of all Native Hawaiians, with a Board of Trustees elected by the voters of Hawaii. OHA is guided by a vision and mission to ensure the perpetuation of the culture, to protect the entitlements of Native Hawaiians, and to build a strong and healthy Hawaiian people and nation.
