Camie Kimball, Annette English, Penny Martin, Stef Bush, Choppie Kalama and Crystal Egusa, coached by Jerome Kalama, earned their silver medal with a time of 4:41.68 in the half mile sprint event.

They were joined at the state regatta by the Wa’akapaemua 70s crew, who finished fourth in their event, as well as youth crews who competed. The girls 12 team finished fifth place, the boys 12 finished ninth, the mixed boys and girls 12 came in fifth, boys 13 crossed 10th, boys 14 finished 14th, and the boys 15 crew came in 10th.

Three women from Molokai – Kimball, Martin and Torrey Goodman – are going on to compete at the World Sprints in London this week. Stay tuned for results!
