Molokai High’s Class of 2026 Graduation Details

Molokai High School is proud to announce the commencement ceremony for the Class of 2026. The traditional ceremony will take place on Friday, May 22, at 4 p.m. at the Molokai High School Athletic Field.

The community is invited to join the celebration in person (limited seating available) or virtually via a comprehensive livestream provided by Akakū. Viewers can tune in through:

  • Television: Akakū Channel 54
  • Digital: The “Maui Stream” app or akaku.org
  • Social Media: Maui/Molokai Akakū Facebook pages and YouTube channel

To ensure a smooth start to the festivities, gates for ticketed seating will open at 3:15 p.m. and will close promptly at 3:55 p.m. for approximately 15 minutes to allow for the graduate processional. All ticketed guests must be inside the fence and seated prior to 3:55 p.m.

A professional photographer and videographer will be capturing the ceremony. To ensure all families have a clear view and to maintain the quality of the recording, guests are asked to:

  • Remain seated throughout the ceremony.
  • Refrain from using umbrellas.
  • Keep the area free of signs, tubes, balloons, or air horns (no on-site storage is available for these items).

Guests are encouraged to store large celebratory items in their vehicles until the conclusion of the event.

To ensure the safety of students and pedestrians, the school kindly requests that the community keep Farrington Avenue clear between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on May 22.

  • Detour: Please use Lihi Pali Ave/Keʻena Place to access Lanikeha.
  • Parking: Guest parking will be located at Lanikeha.
  • Road Closures: The shoulders of Farrington Avenue fronting the school will be coned off and reserved strictly for emergency services, pedestrians, kupuna drop-off, and Project Grad buses.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, graduates will proceed to the adjacent multipurpose field for the lei ceremony. To ensure an orderly transition:

  • Please do not stop graduates during the recessional.
  • Allow all graduates to fully exit the athletic field before attempting to leave the seating area.
  • The lei ceremony area will open to guests only after the graduates have arrived.

Graduates will be gathered in the multipurpose field by alphabetical order to receive lei from family and friends. Molokai High School looks forward to celebrating the remarkable achievements of the Class of 2026 with the entire community.
