Molokai Drugs Offers Free COVID Testing

Free COVID-19 testing is now available at Molokai Drugs. With testing now a requirement for non-vaccinated state and county employees and Molokai cases continuing to spike, having greater accessibility to testing is important.
Molokai residents need to pre-register at precentcovidhi.com, as walk-in testing is not available.
“We are offering testing only four days per week (Tuesday through Friday),” Kimberly Svetin shared on social media. “Our supplies are limited so we ask that you cancel if you are sick or cannot make it in for your timeslot.”
Molokai Drugs as a free testing site is being offered through a partnership between Hawaii State Department of Health, National Kidney Foundation, FEMA and Molokai Drugs, Inc., Sen. Lynn DeCoite announced.
“With the rising case counts and the Delta variant spreading across our islands, testing is one precaution we have,” said Sen. DeCoite. “So if you need the test for school, work or peace of mind — please sign up and get tested. Don’t for get to give a shaka for those helping get this done!”
The DOH said the added testing sites across the state, which includes Molokai Drugs, offer PCR mid-turbinate testing. Results are expected to be provided the same day via email.
“DOH is working to make free testing available all across the state, especially as demand remains high,” said Health Director Dr. Elizabeth Char. “This program immediately increases access to free testing for neighbor island residents. We continue to urge Hawaii residents to use all the tools available to them to stop this surge and protect themselves and their families.”
