Molokai Applicants Sought for Liquor Commission

Molokai applicants are being sought for a vacancy on Maui County Liquor Commission. Interested Molokai residents should submit applications as soon as possible.
Applicants must be available to attend meetings on Maui. These are held at 9 a.m., usually on the first Thursday of the month. Maui County pays for allowable travel expenses.
Responsibilities include hearing public testimony, reviewing policies and standards. Panel members make recommendations and decisions that impact Maui County. Positions are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Maui County Council. While no monetary compensation is provided for serving on a board or commission, the public’s participation helps provide an important government service.
Anyone interested in serving on the Liquor Commission or another County board or commission should first apply online at mauicounty.gov/Boards. Paper applications are available at Council Services offices on Molokai and at all Parks and Recreation Permit offices.
