Judo Readies for MILs

The Molokai HS Judo team traveled to Maui for to last weekend’s fourth MIL meet at King Kekaulike High School. Coach Lihau Maioho said the team only took three students to this event.

“Our judoka competed well and the placings were Alana Morris in second place at 122 pounds, Ikua DePonte in second place at 161 pounds and Jershon Kaalekahi came in third.”

The MIL Championships are this weekend at Baldwin High School and the state Judo championships will be on May 6 at the Stan Sheriff Center.
