Hui to Host Visiting Veterinarians for Free Vaccination, Low-Cost Visits

MCVH News Release

Molokai Community Veterinary Hui (MCVH) is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a licensed veterinarian from Hawaii Island for a special weekend of veterinary services on Feb. 28 and March 1. MCVH is collaborating with Big Island Pet Care Center to bring affordable care to our island.

On Saturday, Feb. 28, there will be a free community vaccine clinic from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Appointments will be scheduled in 15-minute intervals to ensure efficient and timely service for pet owners. This clinic is designed to help protect the health of Molokai’s pets while reducing barriers to essential preventative care.

To schedule an appointment, call or text 808-658-6200 and MCVH will send a scheduling link to set up an appointment.

On Sunday, March 1, the visiting veterinarians will provide animal wellness visits for a $40 fee. During these appointments, the veterinarians will:

  • Perform a comprehensive wellness examination
  • Discuss ongoing health concerns and medication needs
  • Establish pets and owners as clients of their Big Island veterinary practice

Following the wellness visit, participating pet owners will receive access to the veterinarians’ practice via telehealth for one year, allowing for continued veterinary support and guidance. Any future costs for care or services will be assessed directly by the veterinarians’ office. To schedule an appointment, call or text 808-658-6200 and MCVH will send a scheduling link to set up an appointment.

“These clinics are an important step toward improving access to consistent veterinary care for Molokai’s animals,” an MCVH representative said. “We are grateful to our visiting veterinarians and our community for supporting this effort.”

For appointment scheduling, additional details, or assistance inquiries, community members are encouraged to contact Molokai Community Veterinary Hui directly either via call or text at 808-658-6200 or via email at admin@molokaivethui.org
