Hawai‘i Ant Lab Offering Free Workshop

Ants have become a major pest, both indoors and out. To address this issue, the Molokai Cooperative Extension Service is teaming up with Hawai‘i Ant Lab for a free training workshop on Aug. 1 from 3-5:30 p.m. at our office in Hoolehua.
The focus of the training will include the background and biology as well as prevention, detection and identification of various ants found in Hawai‘i. This training will include both classroom and hands-on outdoor activity.
Registration is required by emailing andreace@hawaii.edu with your name, phone number and number attending in your group. Space is limited.
Molokai Cooperative Extension is a part of the University of Hawaii at Manoa College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (CTAHR). Our office is in Ho‘olehua at 69-1 Pu‘upeelua Ave. between the MIS office and the Ho‘olehua Post Office.
This workshop will serve as our regular “First Thursday Workshop.” If you are unfamiliar with our program, we offer “First Thursday” and “Third Thursday” workshops at no cost on various farming and gardening topics generally from 3-4 p.m.
