Hana Bests Molokai in Girls Volleyball

The Lady Farmer Girls’ Volleyball team lost two matches lastt weekend to the Hana Dragons and evened their record at 4-4 in regular season play. The Dragons are 3-1 and Seabury leads the league at 6-0. Friday night, Hana won in three sets 25-17, 25-23 and 25-22. Saturday, the Dragons won in four sets 25-13, 17-25, 25-19 and 25-22. Head Coach Mahea Rawlins and her team will have a bye this week before hosting Maui Prep on Sept. 29 and 30 at The Barn and they will finish the regular season at home against St. Anthony on Oct. 6 and 7.

Rawlins is optimistic and looking forward to ending the regular season at home and then the MIL tournament on Oct. 18-21 at Baldwin High School.

“I’d say we played well but we need to work harder for our upcoming games,” she said. “We utilized our middles which was good for this game. We are looking forward to our home games and the MIL tournament.”
