Guns of Vietnam War Exhibit

You are invited to the latest in a series of free open-to-the-public gun exhibits. This show’s theme is guns of the Vietnam War. It will be held at Mel Chung – Gunsmith’s shop in Kaunakakai on Friday, November 20 from 12 noon to 6 p.m.
Rifles representative of those used by the U.S. Military, ARVN (Army of South Vietnam), NVA (North Vietnamese Army) and the Viet Cong will be on display and we will also discuss about what type of guns you can have and where to purchase AR-15 magazines and other handy short guns.
This historical display will coincide with the 40th anniversary of the homecoming of Molokai’s Hawaii Army National Guard Unit (Det 1, HHC, 2Bn, 299 Inf, 29 Inf Bde). Many members the National Guard and other Molokai residents served in Vietnam.
Period uniforms and other artifacts from the war will also be displayed.
Mel Chung’s Gunsmith shop is located behind the Pascua Store / Bamboo Pantry / Store-House parking lot. Look past the brown dumpster for the cedar building with the chain link fence.
