Graduation Mahalo

The Molokai High School Class of 2021 graduates and advisors would like to thank everyone who gave their time and resources to make this unprecedented Class of 2021 Commencement Ceremony a great success and a special event for the Class of 2021. Once again the Molokai community has demonstrated their aloha and commitment to be there for the ’Opio of Molokai.
There were so many people who helped put this event together with their time and resources.

Thank you to Anoi Lima English, Bahar Yaghoubi and Perry Buchalter for helping with the class of 2021 legacy project. Thank you to the MPD for painting the lines in the MHS student parking lot and keeping the ceremony safe — Capt.Tom, Lt. Winfrey, Det. Bishaw-Juario, Sgt. Ka’ai, Sgt. Hubbard, SRO Mossman, Ofr. Aquino, Ofr. Abafo, Ofr. Albino-Shamblin, Ofr. Welch, Ofr. Szczepan, Ofr. Caparida and PSA Gandeza. Thank you to Kenny Adachi for printing our class shirts. Thank you to the media team — Uncle Sherman Napoleon, Dan Emhoff, Uncle Micky Pauole, Rick Schonely, and Arianna Patterson — for all the pictures and livestreaming the ceremony. Thank you to the Mikami family and Kim Svetin for the financial support. Thank you to the security team – Rodney Place, Kawika Carlbom, David Spencer, National Guardsman – Sidney Bicoy, and Noah Kaahanui. Thank you to Kalei Roberts for all the help with the ceremony music. Thank you to the MHS setup/break down team – Chris Johnson, Ty Sakurada and Jennifer Hirose. Thank you to the MHS ceremony volunteers – Eric Scala, Amanda Labriola, Mahina Kamakana-Juario, Marge Yokomizo-Bento, John Van Ornum, David Lichtenstein, David Powell, Karen Harada, Diane Mokuau, Emilio Macalalad, Lori Kaiama and Perry Buchalter.

There were over 50 volunteers that generously gave their time to help us have an in-person ceremony. We can’t thank you enough. Please forgive if we inadvertently do not mention you by name. We know that there were people behind the scenes that we might not have known about. Mahalo nui loa!
