Georgiettie Likopualehua W.I.P. Tancayo

The stairway to heaven opened on Oct. 27, 2024 for Georgiette Likopualehua W.I.P. Tancayo to return home to her maker.
On March 12, 1961 Michael (deceased) and Irene Tancayo welcomed their eldest child, Liko. She attended Kaunakakai Elementary, MHS, and graduated from the class of 1979 from Kamehameha Schools. While on Oahu, she worked at Shiro’s Saimin restaurant, joined the Honolulu National Guard, and enlisted in the Air Force. After marrying, she welcomed her son, Kegal-Joe Fook Kun M. Burrill.
Returning to Molokai, she worked various jobs at Kaluakoi Hotel and Golf, Kalaiakamanu Hou Church, Molokai Visitors Association, Mahalo Airlines, Mrs. K’s and COM Kaunoa Molokai Senior Service as a program specialist manager, where she worked for over 30 years.
Liko was often involved in the community as a member of Ierusalema Hou Church of Halawa, Hale O Na Alii O Hawaii, Festivals of Aloha Pa’u Unit, ukulele player for William “Billy” Kaaihue Hula Halau, and many more community projects. She will be missed by all those she touched.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024, with visitation from 1-3 p.m., Kalaiakamanu Hou Church Hall. She is survived by her son Kegal-Joe Fook Kun Burrill (Jonnelle), granddaughter Serinity-Irene “Rini” Kealalani Burrill, mother Irene Tancayo, brothers Robert (Josephine) Tancayo, Kegal Joe (Michelle) Tancayo Sr. and Ikaika Chong, sisters Allennie (Gordon) Naeole, Wendi-Liz (Christopher) Tancayo-Mebille, Mililani Kong, Charline Souza, and Hamau Howe, God children Justine Cockett and Ohi’alehuapuakeaokalani Kalipi and many more ‘ohana and friends.
