Franklin is survived by his wife Margaret Kahaunani “Peggy” Keahi-Leary, wife of 36 years and a native of Molokai. He also has two daughters Christine and Cindy, brothers Clifford and James Leary of San Diego, California, and many nieces and nephews.

Franklin is predeceased by his parents, Clifford and Audrey Haller Leary; only sister Patricia A. Leary Miller; and brother Robert A. Leary.

Molokai was his dream come true.  It became his home in 1990 when Peggy transferred from Honolulu Post office to Hoolehua Post Office, where she retired.

Frank was a meek and faithful husband and also to the friends he made, he was very sensitive to the needs of people and especially to animals. It was his desire to pass on Molokai and his ashes to be scattered here.

He loved Jesus Christ very much and lived his life doing the best with the knowledge he received from the Bible. See you later, meet you at the Pearly Gates.

Private funeral services are planned.
