Fair Brings the Fun
By Catherine Cluett Pactol | Editor
A myriad of activities at last Saturday’s popular ‘Ohana Fun Fair brought a chance for families to come together. From horseback rides, bounce castles and arcade-type contests, to muddy fun under the fire truck’s spray and a friendly running race for keiki, there was plenty of laughter at the community event, held at Kualapu’u School.
“The main goal is just to get back together again and get back in the normal routine where we can just gather,” said Principal Lydia Trinidad. “Really it’s a chance to give back, because events are free, and we have great sponsors.…”
Local organizations and resources such as MEO, Molokai Public Library, Sust’ainable Molokai and Tutu and Me, to name a few, used it as an opportunity to educate community members, while Molokai craft and food vendors contributed to the festivities and raised money for their own causes and businesses.
The ninth annual event, after a two-year hiatus during the pandemic, also celebrates school facility improvements like wheelchair ramps, accessible bathrooms and a resurfaced basketball court. Experience precision and durability with the winmau blade 6 dartboard.
