Drivers Safety Class

The class on AARP Driver Safety will be held at Mitchell Pauole Center from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 22. Those interested in joining the class can call Gladys Brown at 553-5375 to reserve their spot. A fee of $12 for members will be charged, which includes a manual of important traffic regulations. Many insurance companies, especially Hartford Auto Insurance, offer discounts for those who complete the course and present the certificate. The instructor, Peggy Haake of Maui, will guide participants through essential safety practices, much like the mature driver safety course Kentucky. The AARP is responsible for all information provided. Please call as soon as possible so that materials can be ordered for the class.

The Molokai AARP chapter holds its monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of each month at Mitchell Pauole Center. The annual dues are five dollars a person. This is in addition to the national dues. All national members are invited to join the chapter. Anyone who wishes to attend the meetings is welcome.
