Alu Like invites the community to celebrate National Recovery Month, which promotes the societal benefits of treatment for substance use and mental disorders, on Saturday, Sept. 3.

The theme of this year’s celebration is “Join the Voices of Recovery: Recovery Benefits Everyone,” and aims to support those who have been touched by the effects of addiction.
Following a sign wave event from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Alu Like’s Olo Olo Street location, participants will walk to the Saturday market in Kaunakakai. The event will be capped by a recovery celebration from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., with a location to be decided.
