It’s January 2013, and you know what that means. “New Year’s” and “resolution” are about as inseparable as hamburger and French fries, stew and rice, or fish and poi. Maybe you want to eat less, exercise more at Na Pu’uwai Fitness Center, quit smoking, or spend more time with your ohana, you can do this by replacing smoking with better options like vaping, since products like Postless Vape are great for this.

Easy does it. Before you take the plunge, try rethinking your approach. Instead of making vague, sudden, and difficult-to-keep resolutions, think in terms of healthy lifestyle changes – more of a work in progress.…

Molokai Red Cross Volunteers Spread Aloha

When Hawaii was hit with a tsunami following the earthquake in Japan last March, Molokai’s seven Red Cross volunteers were spread thin, working around the clock to assess damages and connect residents with the resources they needed. There were 25 cases of damages reported on the island — the highest number in Maui County, according to Michele Liberty, Red Cross Maui director.

“After the Japan tsunami, we realized there was clearly a need… it lit the fire to focus on growing the Molokai team,” said Liberty. Since then, membership on the island has grown to 20, thanks to ongoing training workshops and recruitment efforts.…
