Obituary: Mike Hiroshi Misaki

Mike Hiroshi Misaki, 89, passed away on July 29, 2014. He was born on Aug. 24, 1924 in Kaunakakai, Molokai. He was the owner of Misaki’s Inc.

In 1945, he served in the Army for two years in the Philippines. Upon returning, he decided to attend the National School for Meat Cutting in Toledo, Ohio and later resumed working at Misaki’s. He was an active member of Kalaiakamanu Hou Church and was the general chairman for the building committee that built the Sunday school and parsonage in 1965. He also served as a deacon.

He was married for 63 years and is survived by his wife, Diana, his children, Kevin, Gil and Lorri, and his grandchildren, Kristen, Kory and Kekumu.…

Romulo “Mario” C. Casino, Jr.

Romulo “Mario” C. Casino, Jr., 58, of Wailuku, passed away on March 23, 2014 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born October 2, 1955 in Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur, Philippines.

Services will be on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Molokai Baptist Church, Kaunakakai, with visitation starting at 9 am. Services begin at 11 am followed by burial at Kapakea Cemetery. Norman’s Mortuary assisted with arrangements.

“Mario” had a passion for life. He loved his family, friends, tennis, and watching sports. He and his wife were active in Filipino Community. They often highlighted as the lead solo couple dancers at many of the Fil-Am events.…

DiAna Makaokalani Lima, 33, of Kapa`akea, Molokai, died on Feb. 3, 2014 in Queens Medical Center in Honolulu, HI. She was born in Kaunakakai, Molokai. She is survived by her companion, Albert Kaikoa Espaniola; sons, Anoi Kaoo Kaukaleo Ihookalanipo Lima-English, David Kahikina Lima-English, Dylan Tanielu Lima-English and Shawn-Isaac Makanaakealoha Wise; daughters, Haliaka Lahela Makaokalani Naliko Lima-English and Taua Lealofa Ehukainani Lima-English; parents, David Ka`oo Lima, Davelynn Lima-Hardwick and Tuka Agemotu Jr.; brothers, Itula Keolanalani Suafoa, Jr., Keith Kaoo Tuka Suafoa, Andrew Mareko Logoai Kalima Suafoa, Keolamaikalani Samuel Agemoti and Kristen Franklin Agemotu; and sisters, Elenita Kuuleialoha Suafoa, Selega April Kaaua Suafoa- Yanez, Esther Napua Agemotu, Lisa Marie Agemotu, Nakita Ino Agemotu and Mischa Vay Agemotu.…

Obituary: Julia Coelho

Julia Coelho of Kawela, Molokai passed away on March 14, 2013 at the age of 87 at her daughter’s home on Oahu. She was a retired nurse with Molokai General Hospital and was a helping hand for many with animals. Born in New York on Aug. 17, 1925, she traveled to Europe and Central America before settling down on Molokai in the mid 50s.

She is survived by her daughter, Clarice (Coelho) Olayvar; sons Michael and Clarence W. Coelho Jr., six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation for friends and family will be on Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 9 a.m.…
