Busy Weekend for Local Youth

Before Kaunakakai School’s movie night on the lawn last Friday, keiki played under a rainbow before dusk fell, pictured at top. At left, Molokai High’s robotics team 1037, led by coach Edwin Mendija, defended their Maui VEX Robotics Championship for the third year in a row, also winning the Robotics Skills, Judges and Sportsmanship awards and qualifying them for the state and national championships. Pictured at right, Kualapu’u School held their annual Ohana Fun Fair last Saturday, bringing families together and featuring free activities such as horseback rides, water slides, costume fun run, a keiki pageant and a helicopter landing.
