100 Years of Gratitude

By Léo Azambuja

In January, Ana Lintao celebrated her 100th birthday with family and some of her long-time Molokai friends. Panel to Address Molokai’s Food Security

Monday, March 16th, 2026

Molokai Bahá’í Community News Release

What will we eat if barge service is cut? It is a serious question considering that Hawaii imports most of its food. Sitting in the middle of the Pacific, it is completely dependent on long supply lines that can fail due to factors such as business disruptions, climate change, pandemics, and global conflicts.

How to protect Molokai’s food security — our continuous, long-term supply of food — will be the topic of a panel discussion at the Molokai Public Library on Wednesday, March 18 at 5:30 p.m., as part of the Global Citizenship Speaker Series.

Molokai’s supply chain is particularly insecure.…

Flag Book Workshop with Tamara Moan

MAC News Release

Construct an accordion-spine flag book using stencil prints for your page design. This sculptural book opens with a WOW factor — pages that open in opposite directions to produce a cascade effect.

We will build a prototype book form with blank pages first to get familiar with the format and construction components. After sketching and refining imagery ideas, we’ll make stencils from your own designs and practice stenciling/stippling techniques using ink pads as the color medium.

We finish by building a second book that includes your stencil imagery plus any additional writing/drawing that’s desired. This book form requires honing measurement, cutting, and assembly skills; the stencil technique lends itself to graphic images/shapes and color layering that can be transferred to many other paper-based creations.…

So, we figure we can do this by encouraging traveling vets to come. Our objective is to provide the space for them where they can show up, and they can just walk in and they can practice.”

The first veterinary clinic was held by Dr.…
