First graders at Kilohana School used the prompt, “This is not a day you have already had. It is a day that you dream to have. My very best day starts with…” to write about their best day.

By Dallas Bicoy, Grade 1. My very best day starts with going swimming at the beach. Dolphins jumping, squeaking and whistling. I should need to take a breath but I can breathe like a mermaid! I spend the whole day swimming in the sea.
