Join the Crop of Producers

Are you a farmer or producer interested in creating excellent products? A day-long summit to share information, inspiration and networking opportunities with Hawaii farmers and producers will be held on Kaui, Maui and Oahu Aug. 6-10. Called Sprout, the program is intended to cultivate Hawaii’s next crop of artisanal producers.

Whole Foods welcomes all existing and aspiring Hawaii farmers and producers to learn more about topics including becoming a Whole Foods Market supplier, pricing and business models, the retailer’s perspective, branding and marketing, financing, Whole Food’s Market’s local producer loan program, distribution, packaging, local ingredient sourcing, and more.  Presenters will be community experts, Whole Foods Market team members and exemplar producers.

Sprout events will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 6 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Aston Aloha Beach Hotel, in Kapa`a, Kauai; Thursday, Aug. 8 from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at UH Maui College in Kahului, Maui; and Saturday, Aug. 10 from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Kapi`olani Community College in Honolulu.
