Blue Planet Foundation News Release

The successful “Go Green & Carbon Clean” CFL Project was featured in the “Hawaii Home Energy Makeover Show 2″ produced by the Blue Planet Foundation.  The show aired twice in October (KGMB & KHNL) and is looking to re-broadcast in December.

The project reached a targeted goal of 36,000 bulbs exchanged after 3 months of restless community outreach by students, teachers, businesses and community leaders.  The estimated savings from the life of the bulb is projected at $6.5 million dollars.  The project is truly becoming an shining example for communities around the world on how a community can achieve bigger goals if everyone worked together.
This websiode will be disseminated and featured in many classrooms across the State of Hawaii and many other countries around the world.
